It
is time to upgrade to MS SQL or Oracle Server
dBase is passé!
Soffront will no longer support dBase in TRACK and TRACKWeb future
versions.
You need to upgrade to SQL
server or Oracle. As an
authorized Microsoft reseller, we are offering you special
discounted prices on MS SQL Server for a limited time. Take advantage of the
opportunity! Here are a few compelling reasons:
Major limitations of dBase IV:
-
Database security is compromised in dbase. Anyone having
access to database file has complete access to your data.
-
dBase does not support synchronization of information.
-
dBase seriously lacks in performance with large databases
or when several simultaneous users are accessing the data.
-
dBase does not support the more robust XML language, which
is being increasingly used in TRACK and TRACK Web
applications.
To
purchase SQL Server at special discounted prices, contact your
Soffront representative by September 15th, 2001.

TRACK/
Trackweb Q&As
Problem: I am unable to search
for a TRACK ticket. Query result returns no rows.
Solution:
Each object has a
View Report in Reports. For the View Report, you must have at
least one selected field. This is system-generated report, so if
you don't have any selected fields in View Report, TRACK will
return the query result without any columns and rows.
This
report cannot be deleted, but make sure no one removes all
the fields from Selected Fields list.
Problem: If a user belongs to multiple groups, which
permissions do TRACK use?
Solution:
If
a user belongs to more than one user groups, TRACK combines
all the privileges from those groups.
If you add one of those
user groups to the workflow, TRACK only uses that group's
privileges for that specific action in the workflow.
Problem:
I get an HTTP Error 400 when I try to modify a
public query
Solution: If you get an HTTP Error 400 when you try to modify
a public query, clear your browser cache and refresh TRACKWeb.
To clear your browser
cache (in Internet Explorer)
1- From the Menu Bar,
select Tools --> Internet Options.
2- Under the option Temporary
Internet files, click Delete Files.
3- In the Delete Files
dialog box, check Delete all offline content and
click OK.
4- Click OK
to close the Internet Options dialog box.
5- Close that browser and
open TRACKWeb in a new browser window.
If that doesn't solve the problem, reboot your web
server.
