Welcome to this month’s letter. 

First, I would like to thank all of you who called or emailed me congratulating our 10th anniversary. I enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, I was not able to return all of your calls and emails but I do appreciate receiving it. 

Recently we have added a 10th anniversary logo to our website. I would appreciate your feedback.

As you know, we are at the end of Q2. We have made good progress in this quarter. To list a few:

  • we have opened three new domestic sales offices,
  • added 5 new domestic and international partners,
  • won 17 new customers,
  • increased our global workforce by 8%, and
  • earned 61 sales from our current customers. 

I am very glad to see many of our current customers investing in additional modules. We hope to beat this performance in Q3.

We have re-classified our CRM suite. Following are the five main categories – 

  1. Marketing Automation
  2. Sales Automation
  3. Customer Support

  4. Customer Portal

  5. Employee Support

Soffront CRM Q&A 

Question:  

I want to send a proactive email to all my customers about a new knowledgebase article. How do I do it?

Answer:

Use Soffront Email Campaign Manager to do this. Create text or HTML messages with tracking URLs and send to thousands of contacts. The software has the intelligence to deliver text messages when the receiving client cannot accept HTML. 

Personalize the messages by using ‘mail merge’ fields and target it to specific section of your database, by creating filter queries. The Email Campaign Manager requires no client installation and works directly off your browser.

Its time to upgrade to 7.0! 

Have you upgraded to version 7.0? More than 75% of our customers have already upgraded and they love it. 

Here are a few reasons why you should upgrade:

  1. You have shortcut access to favorite queries/reports with Startup Queries and Sub-menus. When you login to the Soffront CRM application, the results of your startup query shows. You can specify a sub-menu for each object. These sub-menus point to your favorite queries or reports. Startup queries and Sub-menus can be specified at the group or individual level.
  2. The query results interface is a lot better with 1-click sorting and an easy way to navigate the result set. You can get the record count for the result set, with just one click. 
  3. Each user can specify his/her own notification criteria for every object, without the help of the admin. 
  4. When you receive automatic notifications from the Soffront CRM application, the email contains a hyper link that you can click to bring up the record.
  5. Outlook integration is tighter - access your emails from within the Soffront application and maintain tasks/activities at one place; import/export from Outlook for easy interoperability.

Soffront Email Response helps you address the ever-increasing volume of email inquiries cost effectively. Respond faster to email inquiries by analyzing incoming email, automatically routing it to the right agents, creating a ticket, sending an intelligent auto response and even closing the ticket. Soffront CRM Q&A 

Question:
How do I create a query involving multiple tables?

Answer:

You can do this with the SQL Query functionality. TrackWeb provides a graphical interface to create SQL queries with ‘Where’ conditions. Minimal SQL knowledge is required to create this powerful SQL query.

  • In TrackWeb, click on ‘Query Manager’ from any table/tab. Click on the ‘New’ query icon. 
  • You will be prompted to select a query type. There are three query types available - ‘Query by Example’, ‘Visual Query’ and ‘SQL Query’.
  • Select ‘SQL Query’ and click OK.
  • From the resulting interface, select the tables you want and create a query involving multiple tables.
