is using Soffront CRM in an ASP model to help better
coordinate and communicate sales opportunities and
activities between a geographically dispersed sales
force. RMI is the largest independent provider of

information services to the transportation industry.

According to Griswell, RMI chose Soffront for a
variety of reasons. A web-based solution was an
absolute requirement because they need worldwide
Internet access to their database. RMI also prefers
an ASP model because it provided a complete solution
with an easy and quick install without large start
up costs. “In addition, the ASP model allowed us to
take the software for a test drive,” explained
Griswell.
Griswell went on to say that RMI also selected
Soffront because the software was so easily
customized to meet their needs. “We are impressed
with the flexibility of the software. Soffront
quickly understood our business needs, used our
terminology and made us feel comfortable making
customized changes. We were also able to easily
import data from our legacy system to prevent having
to re-enter thousands of customers.”
Since Soffront CRM was installed in August of 2002,
RMI has been impressed with the results. “The
reporting feature has saved us time and money
because we can quickly and simply compile reports
and trends for upper management,” Griswell
acknowledged.
